GREEN3      CONVERSION®

*OAN – Oil Absorption Number – is used to measure structure, a fundamental carbon black property. Higher carbon black grades have greater OAN.

**NSA (a.k.a. BET) – Nitrogen Surface Area – is used to measure total surface are, a fundamental carbon black property. Higher carbon black grades have greater NSA.

The reactor is heated with oil and gas derived as a byproduct of the conversion process via a gas & oil separator. ASTM certified test results shows that the recovered Carbon Black (rCB) produced is characterized with medium high structure (OAN* is about 80 ml/100g) and high surface area (NSA** is about 120 m2/g). Such properties indicate that the rCB produced by the G3C system is suitable for use as a filler in various rubber  applications.
