Long Arc Technologies Corporation filed International Patent Application # PCT/US17/20088.
Using the experimental bench reactor, theR&D team in Georgia succeeded in producing rCB with very high structure (OAN* is about 130 ml/100g) and very high surface area (NSA** is greater than 350 m2/g).
These two key accomplishment confirmed G3C Technology’s capability of producing high market value (4-10 times greater than that for tire-making CB) specialty carbon blacks for cable coating and other semi-conductive rubber applications.
*OAN – Oil Absorption Number – is used to measure structure, a fundamental carbon black property. Higher carbon black grades have greater OAN.
**NSA (a.k.a. BET) – Nitrogen Surface Area – is used to measure total surface are, a fundamental carbon black property. Higher carbon black grades have greater NSA.
